Learn to Make Healthy, Delicious and Cheap Homemade Bread

Is there such a thing as a nutritious bread? When we’re referring to supermarket breads, not really; but when we’re talking about homemade breads – absolutely!

Homemade breads are healthier, taste better and could be really cheap to make. On top of that, you’ll find really easy-to-make recipes so even time doesn’t have to be a problem.

Homemade vs. Industrial Breads

Let’s make something clear: industrial breads are made for profit, not for health. They’re made from low-quality grains, excessive levels of yeast, preservatives and added flavors.

In contrast, homemade breads, that are constructed a number of high-quality staples, can be highly nutritious, healthy and delicious. In addition, homemade breads come hand in hand with beautiful aromas – indeed, these mouth-watering aromas are a area of the experience!

Here’s a very simple recipe that includes high-quality rye, water, essential olive oil, a little bit of yeast, salt and spices.

Homemade Rye Bread

For this easy-to-make homemade rye bread you’ll need just a few ingredients. No kneading necessary!

Ingredients:

  • 300 g of white rye flour
  • 250 -300 ml of cold water
  • 5-7 g of fresh yeast
  • 5-6 g of salt
  • A bit of olive oil or butter
  • Spices (optional)
  • Preparation:

    Put your rye flour in a bowl and add some yeast, water and salt, and start mixing the components together.? Be sure you stir very well so the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together. The aim would be to make a soft and sticky dough (that you can certainly press your fingers), so adjust your water.

    Once mixed, wet both hands and pick up the dough from the bowl. Shape it right into a little block or brick and put it right into a greased baking tin. Then, cover it having a damp towel and then leave it for around two hours (the bread should rise visibly). You can then then add more olive oil or butter on top and spice it with the seeds of your liking.

    Bake the bread inside a preheated oven (200 degrees C) for about 45 minutes.
