Whilst going to a fire call once like a firefighter I was climbing the stars with my co-firefighter whom seemed to be a bodybuilder in his free time.
We had our breathing apparatus donned and when we got to the peak of the fourth floor and my co-firefighter was breathing so heavy I figured?f -k he’s going run out of air whilst we’re inside the fire. Because it happened he did run out of air and the whistle and alarm discontinued and the emergency crew had to come get us whilst we entered entrapment procedure once i exchanged air with him.
He clearly was not things i would call firefighter fit.
He had the strength and size but clearly was without the aerobic ability to go the distance within the fire.?Becoming fit for firefighting takes hard work nevertheless it can be done and infact it’s not necessary to be considered a firefighter to become ‘firefighter fit’ so this is for anyone wanting to enhance their fitness and in particular?your aerobic capacity.

After i i did so my high intensity workout it just accustomed to take 10 to 15 minutes! So it won’t take you long to?become fit for firefighting or fit for a lifetime generally thus living a longer life.
