Fight against flu with homemade lemon ginger cough drops
Ingredients:
Ginger
Cup water
Cup of sugar (you should use brown)
Half a lemon
Two tablespoons of honey
1 tablespoon of clove
Preparation:
Cut the ginger in small pieces initially, making a puree from it. Next, add it inside a cooking pan, adding the water, the sugar and the honey. Stir and add some lemon and also the clove. Cook on medium temperature. Eventually you will notice the mixture boil. Let it rest and let it cool afterwards. You will notice the mix getting thicker and stickier.
Get a bigger pan, cover it with baking paper and employ a spoon to make small drops. Use the whole mixture for this. After you are done, sprinkle the drops with powdered sugar. You are able to bake the drops for a bit, however, you don’t necessarily need to. Should you leave the drops for an hour or so you will see them harden and there you have it! Your personal DIY healthy cough drops.
Store them in a glass container.
